It gives me immense pleasure in welcoming you all to the third World regional Rose Convention being held at Kolkata, hosted by the Agri-Horticultural Society of India and Bengal Rose Society under the aegis of The Indian Rose Federation. This Convention coincides with the special occassion of the glorious celebrations of 200 years of AHSI.
Rose growers from different states of India will be displaying their roses on the show table. The Indian bred roses and the potted plant roses grown with soilless culture will be the highlights of the show. Kolkata is known for its grand colonial architecture, art galleries and cultural festivals. The Indian Botanical Garden in Kolkata is a sprawing garden spanning a total area of 273 acres. This garden was established in the year 1787 and has more than 12000 perenial plants, orchids and other flowering plants collected from all accross the globe.
