On this tour, discover two of the most amazing destinations of India- Darjeeling and Gangtok. Enjoy picturesque views of the rolling mountains, the third highest peak, Mt. Khangchendzongha, take a ride on the UNESCO listed Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, walk through the lush tea estates, enjoy scenic vistas of the mighty Himalayan Mountains, visit the oldest Tibetan Buddhist Monastery in Darjeeling, built in 1850. DAY 01: KOLKATA - BAGDOGRA BY FLIGHT,
DRIVE TO DARJEELING (100 KMS/ APPROX 04 HRS)
Get picked up from your hotel and get transferred to Kolkata airport.
Fly to Bagdogra. Upon arrival in Bagdogra Airport , get welcomed by our representative and drive to Darjeeling.
On arrival, check-in at the hotel and relax. Spend rest of the day at leisure. Dinner and Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
DAY 02: DARJEELING SIGHTSEEING
Get an early morning pickup from your hotel and drive to Tiger Hill (8,400 ft.) to watch striking view of sunrise over Mt. Khangchendzongha (world’s 3rd highest peak at an elevation of 28,208 ft.). On your way back from the Tiger Hill, visit the Ghoom Monastery. Established in the area in the year 1875, the monastery preserves rare handwritten Buddhist Manuscripts.
After the tour, return to hotel for breakfast, and relax for a while. Later, proceed to enjoy a heritage ride on the iconic Toy Train in Darjeeling. The Toy Train is honored with the title of UNESCO World Heritage status. The 50-minute train ride will take you on a scenic journey to Ghoom, which is the highest altitude station of Darjeeling Himalayan Railway at an elevation of 7407 ft. After reaching Ghoom, you’ll be picked up for a drive back to Darjeeling. Now get ready for Darjeeling sightseeing with a visit to the nearest Tea Estate and take in lovely view of the never-ending expanse of green plantations. Next, visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, built as a tribute to Tenzing Norgay Sherpa, one of the first individuals to climb the Mt. Everest summit in 1953 along with Edmund Hillary. Then, visit the Zoological Park, India’s largest high altitude zoo (at 7,000 ft.) followed by a visit to Tibetan Refugee Center, a self-help unit set up in 1959, to observe the life of the refugees here. Here, you’ll see Tibetan men and women making exquisite handicrafts like carpets, woolen shawls, coats and other delightful items. After a day of memorable sightseeing, you can return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

DAY 03: DARJEELING - GANGTOK (100 KM/ APPROX 04 HRS)
Post breakfast, you will be driven to Gangtok.
Sikkim is one the most beautiful state in India located in Eastern Himalaya and surrounded by High Mountain and deep valleys in between the Tibet in the north, Royal Bhutan in the East and Nepal in West.
On arrival, check in to the hotel and relax. Dinner and Overnight stay at Gangtok.
DAY 04: GANGTOK SIGHTSEEING
After breakfast, proceed for full days sightseeing. Visit Rumtek Monastery, also called Dharmachakra Centre, is one of the largest monastaries in Sikkim and belongs to Kargyu sect of Buddhism. It originated in 12th century in Tibet. Next visit Do-Drul Chorten (Stupa) which is one of the most important stupas of Sikkim, built by the head of the Nyingma order- Trullshi Rimpoche in 1945. It contains rare details of Dorji Phupa, Holy Books, Mantras and is encircled by 108 prayer wheels; The Namgyal Institute of Tibetology built in 1958 in traditional style, a renowned worldwide centre for the study of the Mahayana Buddhist philosophy & religion, a treasure house of rare “Thankas”, statues, over 200 Buddhist icons and prized objects of art.
Also visit Enchey Monastery. Literally meaning Solitary, it belongs to the Nyingma order of Vajrayana Buddhism. It was initially established as a small Gompa.
Post sightseeing, visit the Cottage Industry. Dinner and Overnight stay at Gangtok.
